  • understand the options' differences
  • reflect a bit
  • make a decision
  • come back (much) later and evaluate the outcome

Why

You've made it - the penultimate step.

We calculate the cumulative scores across all options using your priorities as weights, and rank them. They are then placed in a radar chart, with our categories as dimensions. (Bar charts are used for fewer than three options)

Using charts here, makes it easier to distinguish the differences at a glance. Because this is the basis for making a choice, we want you to be able to grasp the bits of information that's valuable, without adding detail which is already represented anyway.

As a rule of thumb, an option that fills a larger area of the chart, is a better match for your criteria and priorities, as is a higher rank. Depending on your priorities, this correlation might not always be as straight forward.

Please remember that just choosing the highest score, does not necessarily imply getting the best result. On the flip side, it probably equally important why you're deciding against options as well as for one. For us it is paramount that you are able to understand why you're making a choice, and to reflect not only now, but be able to do so later on. As mentioned before: decision making is not one choice, but a process that can improve over many, maaaaany decisions.

After all that preparation, with your options in front of you - you're hopefully in a great position to make your decision. Obviously you might want to sleep on that, and revisit these results for reference, or even refine things a little.

We encourage you to go come back later, or much later, and evaluate the outcome of your decision. Reflect on how your criteria and priorities relate to reality afterwards, especially to inform future decisions.

And try not to get discouraged by bad decisions - it's a journey, blah blah blah, an important part of life for all humans. (… and probably other species) But really: Good and bad results are both necessary to improve things. It's not just meaningless marketing buzz.

…on a personal note: We'd also be honestly happy if you'd share your insights and stories with us. Not to post them somewhere, but to figure out better ways to help. (and if this was helpful, there are few things as meaningful to us as making things better for others, even a little bit)

How

You look at the chart and the ranking.

To highlight an option , you can tap on it either in the list or the chart directly.
